ENGINEERING: Mastercam CAD/CAM Post Processor Specialist

Description

Join our engineering team in a key role tailoring Mastercam's toolpath output to specific CNC controls and machine tool configurations.

You will have lead responsibility for gathering necessary machine tool and control information, quoting, developing, testing, troubleshooting and delivering Mastercam Post Processors for clients with CNC Mills, Routers, Lasers, Lathes, and Wire EDMs. This will involve interacting with end-users, suppliers, resellers, and OEM contacts.

Your proven technical, analytical, problem solving, and software development skills will enable you to tackle complex manufacturing applications involving multi-axis and multi-tasking machine tools. You are competitive, yet personable. You can work independently on projects, yet enjoy a team environment.

This position will appeal to both experienced mechanical engineers and recent mechanical engineering graduates or equivalents.

Education & Skills

• Post secondary degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering with courses in vector and matrix mathematics, inverse kinematics, kinematics of machinery, structured-text programming, and advanced manufacturing technologies
• Experience in CNC manufacturing and Mastercam an asset
• Experience with multi-axis and multi-tasking machine tools an asset
• Experience with manufacturing software (CAD/CAM) as asset
• Strong communications skills, self started, entrepreneurial spirit
