Mastercam Lathe

Mastercam Lathe lets you move the same part file between milling and turning operations with ease and confidence. It delivers a set of easy-to-use, advanced programming tools with greatly expanded options when paired with Mastercam Mill. Easy rough, finish, thread, groove, bore, and drill routines combine with C/Y-axis machining to cut any job.

SUPPORTS TURNING AND PRIMARY MILLING OPERATIONS​

The Lathe module offers a large variety of toolpaths to program simple 2 axis lathe up to the most complex Mill-Turn machines. The Lathe module supports turning and C/Y axis toolpaths.

It can be used in conjunction with Mill products that allow dynamic milling and support for 5-axis Lathes.

INTELLIGENT STOCK RECOGNITION​

With the built-in stock recognition on Lathe toolpaths, there won’t be any time wasted in airtime machining for your turning operations. Mastercam knows where there is material to be removed and will only machine those specific regions.

3D TOOLING​

Can be used to configure complex turning tools within Mastercam from CAD models.

Does the Lathe module allow you to program live tooling?

Yes, the Lathe module alone allows you to program basic Milling operations on the Lathe. However, you can also combine your Lathe license with a Mill license to access more Milling functionalities and expand your machining potential with your Lathe CNC.
