Importing Custom Holder from a Level – Mastercam

To open the Levels Manager, ensure Levels is enabled under the View tab.

Select Levels from the bottom of the Manager panels or from the left-hand bar.

Create a new Level and name it ‘Custom Tool.’ Set this level to be the main level as the tool will be drawn at this level.

Draw the custom holder vertically with the tip of the holder on X0, Y0. Draw only half of the holder, as the profile will revolve to create a complete holder. The holder must be drawn as a continuous chain, meaning there can be no overlaps or duplicate entities.

Create the toolpath that you would like to use the Custom tool holder in.

Select Custom Level > Ok OK button

Set the Connection settings as required > Next next button

Set the General settings as required > Finish general settings window
