WHAT TO EXPECT

Organized by Mazak Corporation, Sandvik Coromant and Mastercam distributor In-House Solutions Inc., the Evolution of Digital Machining Lunch and Learn event will offer attendees the chance to educate themselves with the latest manufacturing innovations. Various presenters will explore how the industry has advanced its part-processing operations in the digital age with computer-aided tool selection, part programming, machine simulations and collision detection.

TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION

In addition, attendees will have the chance to see live demos on Mazak’s latest machining centers. The Kentucky-built VC-500A/5X Vertical Machining Center has a trunnion-style rotary/tilt table that allows for the accurate, cost-effective processing of small complex parts via full 5-axis machining. The machine comes equipped with a robust, high-performance standard spindle that delivers exceptional metal removal capabilities for all common materials, including steel, aluminum and cast iron.

The INTEGREX i-200ST advanced Multi-Tasking machine delivers maximum versatility and throughput for medium to large complex parts. The machine combines the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center to produce parts in single setups. This machine configuration features a second turning spindle (S) for DONE IN ONE® machining and a lower turret (T) that minimizes fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time.
