Have you received some files for your post processor from either our post development or support team? If you are not sure what to do with them or how to get Mastercam to recognize them, let us show you how and where they belong on your system!
Save the zipped file sent to you to your desktop
Right click on the folder and select Extract All…
Click Extract
Open the unzipped folder – You will see your Machine and Control Definitions as well as your post files.
Select the files, right click, then select Copy
Navigate to your Shared Mastercam folder – The default directory is shown below, Open the CNC_MACHINES folder.
Right click and Paste your files here
Select your post files, right click, and Cut them from the CNC_MACHINES folder
Navigate to your machine type > Posts folder, right click, and Paste the files here
*If you have both a .pst & .psb file it is important to copy and paste both files in this location

Select your machine type and click Manage List
Select the Machine Definition and click Add
Select your machine type once more, then select the machine from the drop-down menu to load
The Machine will load into your Toolpaths Manager, expand the Properties, and click on Files
From here you can confirm that you have the correct Machine Definition, Control Definition and Post file.
