Creating and utilizing backups is a very important step in making sure your shop is running smoothly! In the unfortunate instance of a system crash, these backup files will allow you to restore your Cimco DNC Max Clients and their machine files.
From the DNC Max Client click on Setup then Restore Server Configuration
This can also be done from Edit with DNC Max enabled – From the DNC Max tab, click Configure Server then Restore Server Configuration
Select the backup file and click Open
The restore configuration dialog shows all the files contained in the backup file. A checkbox to the left of the item allows you to select what items will be restored. By default all the items are selected, but you can chose to restore only some of the ports – Click Ok to continue
The option Delete newer/other configuration files will delete any existing port configuration in the machine directory, so the restored ports will be the only ones present after the restore operation
You will be prompted to confirm the restoration – Click Yes
The DNC server will need to be restarted for the changes to take effect – Click Yes
