Certification Training for Mastercam Mill 2D Advanced

The Certification Training for Mastercam Mill 2D Advanced Training Course is designed for experienced Mastercam Mill users wishing to learn more advanced functions. It is dedicated to the power user. 

OVERVIEW 

You will learn how to customize Mastercam Interface by creating specific Ribbons or adding new functions to the Right Mouse Menu. You will learn how to machine an imported solid model using the Work Coordinate System (WCS) for multiple setups. To better organize the parts, you will master how to use levels and view sheets. Advanced Drilling toolpath to machine holes with air segments between or to machine deep holes (gun drilling) will also be covered. Dynamic toolpaths and the difference between Radial Chip Thinning (RCT) and Motion Power Cutting will be explained. You will practice indexing a 4-axis part using the tool planes defined in the plane manager. Axis Substitution for 4 Axis machining will also be covered. Fixtures will be used, and the part will be aligned to the fixture faces. 

Optional, you can learn how to program parts mounted on a tombstone on a Horizontal Machining Center. You will learn how to save operations to a library and how to import them for different parts. You will also learn how to save the toolpath defaults to be more efficient while programming your parts. Solid Model Prep functions will be covered to prepare an imported solid for machining. Basic 3D Milling toolpaths will be introduced. You will learn how to create basic surfaces and how to use surface rough and finish toolpaths which are available with the Mastercam Mill product. You will also learn how to use OptiRough High Speed toolpath which was included in the Mill product in Mastercam 2022. Wireframe toolpaths such as Swept 2D and Ruled and the Trim toolpath are also covered in this course.
