In-House Solutions putting STEM on display in Chicago

NSTA Header

In-House Solutions is excited to be showcasing our Applied CNC STEM Activities curriculum from March 12-15 during the National Conference on Science Education at McCormick Place West in Chicago, Illinois.

Join us at booth 682 as we demonstrate an actual model of our Catapult project. Project materials for the catapult, along with our Ruler project, will also be on display. This year’s conference, hosted by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), features some of the best practices in K-12 education with a special focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning.

Considered the highlight of professional development in 2015, conference participants will have access to over 400 exhibits and more than 1,200 presentations, sessions and hands-on workshops. The event will also explore Next Generation Science Standards, a collaborative, state-led process that has developed new K-12 standards designed to provide students with an internationally benchmarked science education.

The Applied CNC STEM Activities curriculum by In-House Solutions is project-based and available customized for both students and instructors. Each project book is a complete resource and has been designed with educators in mind, featuring lesson plans, science and math background information, instructor STEM notes and guide, rubrics, student worksheets, answer keys and exams that reflect national standards.

In-House Solutions has three projects currently available individually or in combinations — the Ruler, Catapult and Carousel. These projects are easy to incorporate into any STEM-oriented engineering class and align to national standards. Most important, the exciting, hands-on curriculum keeps students engaged and helps to encourage interest in future STEM-related careers.
